Registration Information for Speakers

 

Those who wish to be considered as speakers for this conference should submit an abstract of no more than 200 words by email or post by 1st March 2009. Those whose abstracts are accepted for the conference will be notified by email by the end of March 2009 and asked to confirm their attendance.

 

Those offered bursaries will be requested to make arrangements for their transport as soon as possible to take advantage of early booking discounts. Accommodation on a bed & breakfast basis, as well as a buffet lunch, will be provided for all invited speakers for the duration of the conference.

 

After confirming their attendance, speakers will be expected to send their finished papers to the organizers by 1st June 2009. This is in order that they can be prepared for publication as an open-access web resource, which will be made available on this website soon after the conference.

 

Please note that papers should not exceed 20 minutes in length to allow for discussion. To avoid any technical problems, any illustrative materials used for the presentation (Powerpoint files, handouts, etc) should preferably be sent to the organizers together with the paper or in any case NO LATER than the 15th June 2009. Speakers should, however, ensure they also bring these materials with them on the day.
